The Tulipe Watermelon Tourmaline Necklace began with the extraordinary natural colour of watermelon tourmaline—gemstones where blush pink, leafy green, soft cream and subtle earth tones appear together in combinations that cannot be precisely repeated.
Rather than asking those variations to conform, the design was created around them.

Inspired by the Colours of a Garden
Tulipe is part of the Garden Reverie Collection, a collection inspired by botanical forms, natural colour and the quiet beauty found in details that are never exactly alike.
Watermelon tourmaline was a natural choice for this design.
Known for its distinctive variations of pink and green, the gemstone can also reveal cream, translucent and earthy tones. Each stone has its own colour distribution and character, creating a palette that feels less deliberately matched than naturally connected.
Laid together, the gemstones suggested the changing colours of a garden—petals, foliage, new growth and the softened tones of flowers beginning to fade.
That natural variation became an essential part of the necklace rather than something to be corrected or concealed.
Designing Around a Sculptural Tulip
At the centre of the necklace is a dramatic three-inch solid brass tulip focal.
Its scale established the direction of the entire design.
Rather than surrounding it with equally substantial elements, the gemstones were individually hand-wrapped and arranged to create movement around the sculptural flower. Cascading tourmaline introduces colour and texture while allowing the tulip to remain the visual anchor.
Warm brass was chosen deliberately. Its softly aged character complements the organic colours of the tourmaline and gives the necklace a sense of depth that a highly polished metal would not create in quite the same way.
The contrast between gemstone translucency and textured brass is one of the details that gives Tulipe its distinctive character.
The Dragonfly Detail
Nestled within the design is a small brass dragonfly.
It is easy to overlook at first—and that is part of its charm.
The dragonfly introduces another botanical-garden reference while adding a quiet layer of symbolism associated with transformation, resilience and movement.
Rather than functioning as a separate focal point, it becomes a detail to discover: something that reveals itself as the necklace is viewed more closely.

The gemstone chain is constructed by individually hand-wrapping the watermelon tourmaline stones and linking them together.

Natural watermelon tourmaline makes exact duplication impossible to begin with. Every gemstone carries its own colour pattern, inclusions and tonal variation.

Its particular arrangement of gemstones, sculptural brass tulip, dragonfly detail and hand-wrapped construction belongs to this necklace alone.
