Designed and individually assembled in Canada by jewellery designer Cheryl Borisenko, Carabella brings together freshwater pearls, Swarovski® Crystal Pearls, expressive gemstones, Murano glass, fine and sterling silver, gold-filled elements, and artisan details selected for their beauty and character.

Each design is created in limited quantities with careful attention to balance, proportion, comfort, and finish—jewellery that feels considered rather than complicated, distinctive without excess, and effortless to make your own.

My appreciation for jewellery and personal style began long before Carabella.

I grew up influenced by my mother’s timeless sense of style. She was always polished but never excessive, and she taught me—without ever needing to say it—that elegance comes from knowing what feels right for you.

That perspective stayed with me.

When I began designing jewellery, it started as a creative exploration. But as I worked with pearls, gemstones, metals, colour, and texture, I became increasingly aware of what I wanted each piece to feel like: distinctive without being overdone, refined without feeling predictable, and personal enough to become part of a woman’s own style.

I also began to recognize something missing in much of the jewellery I encountered. So many pieces seemed driven by trends or designed to make an immediate statement. I was drawn instead to balance, proportion, beautiful materials, and the small details that make a design feel complete.

Over time, that instinct became a design philosophy.

I don’t stop when a piece looks finished—I stop when it feels inevitable.

Sometimes that means changing a proportion, removing an element, or beginning again. A design is finished only when nothing feels unnecessary and nothing feels missing.

Carabella grew from that standard—and from the belief that the most meaningful jewellery doesn't define the woman wearing it. It gives her another way to express who she already is.

At Carabella by Cheryl, thoughtful design begins with the materials themselves—their colour, lustre, texture, movement, and character.

Pearls, gemstones, Murano glass, fine and sterling silver, gold-filled elements, and artisan details are brought together with careful attention to proportion and balance. Each element must contribute to the whole; nothing should compete simply for attention.

I believe the most enduring designs are distinctive without excess. Sometimes the most important decision is what to remove, allowing the materials, craftsmanship, and composition to speak more clearly.

Comfort matters too. Jewellery should feel as considered when it is worn as it looks when it is seen, which is why scale, weight, movement, and finish are all part of the design process.

Many Carabella pieces are created in limited quantities, allowing each design to retain a sense of individuality while giving me the freedom to follow exceptional materials and unexpected combinations as I find them.

The result is jewellery designed not simply to be admired, but to be worn, combined, and made personal.
